Looking Ahead to the 2023-2024
School Year
Happy New Year! The Arts Ed Collaborative (AEC) team is coming back online after some time off at the end of the year. We are rested and ready to delve back into active programs with Armstrong School District, Burrell School District, Duquesne City School District, Pittsburgh Public Schools, and Woodland Hills School District.
We know that the school district budget season is upon us. As you prepare for the 2023-2024 school year, please consider how arts partnerships can benefit administrators, teachers, and students.
For administrators, we invite you to engage in a City as Classroom program this summer. This is a customizable, day-long retreat that takes leadership teams out of the office and into the city to pursue new perspectives and possibilities. You might also benefit from our other customizable support options including leadership coaching, arts specialist hiring, or professional learning around conducting effective walkthroughs in arts classrooms.
We love working with dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts teachers! Whether through our Arts Ed 360° program that comprehensively reviews a district’s arts programs or our curriculum writing and student assessment facilitation, we have the knowledge, skills, and experience to help teachers do their best work.
All of the above AEC partnership programs can be conveniently found on our artlook® SWPA profile. Luckily, we have many arts partners in our region. Check out more than 60 arts partnership possibilities currently featured on artlook® SWPA using the keyword search and advanced filters to find options that are aligned with your needs and educational goals.
Wishing you a year full of powerful, personally relevant arts learning!
Save the date: October 9, 2023 for the ACTIVATE Arts Learning Conference! We are excited to host this year’s conference at August Wilson African American Cultural Center. You can request group registration by reaching out to Yael at silky@artsedcollab.org.
