What is artlook® SWPA?

artlook® SWPA is a free online hub created to help educators in our region immerse young people in powerful, personally relevant arts learning opportunities. Developed by Parliament in Chicago and customized as a collaboration among local teachers, school and district administrators, arts partners, and Arts Ed Collaborative staff, artlook® SWPA provides an up-to-date picture of the people, places, and programs supporting arts learning in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This publicly available and searchable map is the only one of its kind in Pennsylvania to combine arts education data from schools, arts organizations, and teaching artists. Join artlook® SWPA

AEC invites new schools and arts partners to join artlook® SWPA. Arts partners include both organizations and individual teaching artists who offer arts education programs and are interested in partnering with schools. Schools and arts partners in the following 13 counties are eligible to join artlook® SWPA: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland.

Commit to artlook®

Timeline:

Arts partners can join artlook® SWPA anytime throughout the year.

Schools and districts must complete a commitment form by 7/31 and can then join artlook® SWPA in the fall.
