Arts Ed Collaborative is delighted to announce Anqwenique Kinsel as our new director of programs! A Pittsburgh native, Anqwenique is an accomplished artist, educator, mother, wife, and trailblazer. Specializing in opera, classical music, jazz, and soul, her versatile and eclectic style informs her work as a performer, director, producer, educator and advocate for arts and music education.

“I’m thrilled to join the Arts Ed Collaborative team as Director of Programs. As an artist, I am the direct product of the music teachers who believed in me throughout the course of my education career,” she says. “For this reason, I am a fierce advocate for music and art education in all schools for all children. AEC continues to champion this cause, and I’m excited to make change for our children in this new role.”

Anqwenique holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Voice Performance from Indiana University of PA. She has worked as a teaching artist for Hope Academy of Music and ArtsBOOM Concepts, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and is currently on the faculty of the CLAZZ International Music Festival in Arcidosso, Italy. For the past five years, she has served as the Director of Education for Pittsburgh Festival Opera, impacting children, teachers and families across Western PA. She was named to Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP’s 40 Under 40 list in 2017 and is featured in the book Spirit to Spirit by MCG Jazz chronicling jazz life in Pittsburgh. Anqwenique was also our 2018 Regional Arts Education Day co-keynote.
