Kesha Silver joins Arts Ed Collaborative
Arts Ed Collaborative is delighted to announce the addition of Pittsburgh native Kesha Silver to our team! Kesha is the new programs coordinator and will keep school district programs moving, support schools through the process of creating artlook® SWPA profiles, as well as support other AEC programs such as our upcoming ACTIVATE Arts Learning Conference.
She joins the AEC team after owning and operating the Shutterbugs Program – a photography program for K-12 students. Kesha had the pleasure of teaching over 3,000 students the art of photography over a five-year span. “After teaching photography in schools, I am excited to share my experiences and my passion for the arts with educators and to be an asset to the AEC team,” says Kesha. “I hope to bring a fresh voice from my experiences as an educator and creative artist, so that we can bring new ideas to our partners.”
Outside of the education world, Kesha works as a professional photographer, and can regularly be found with her camera in hand. “I love finding new discoveries around the city while walking around with my camera,” Kesha says. “This Leon Levinstein quote perfectly expresses my passion for the arts and the culture of the Pittsburgh art scene – ‘I walk.. I look.. I see.. I stop.. I photograph.’”
