Arts Education Collaborative and MCG Youth & Arts are offering teachers an opportunity to learn how to utilize 3D technologies in your classroom. The three-part series begins with what to look for when purchasing and repairing equipment. The series continues with strategies to empower educators to use 3D technologies including understanding software and design principals. Participants will then build upon those skills to identify problems, design possible solutions, and create unique works with a focus on translating learning into the classroom setting. The training will take place in the MCG Youth & Arts Tech Suite, taught by MCG dynamos Justin Mazzei and Jill Wiggins, in concert with AEC’s Sarah Tambucci, who will be providing curricular and assessment expertise.

The training will occur on January 10, February 9, and March 6, from 8 am until 3pm. Participants are required to attend all three dates.

Fee is $200 per participant, which does not include meals. Lunch will be available for purchase, if desired, through Manchester Bidwell Training Center’s Culinary Arts Program.

This amazing opportunity is being piloted to ten teachers on a first come, first served basis. Register your interest here. Each individual teacher must complete the survey in order to be considered for a spot. A waiting list will be maintained, and you will be notified after completing the survey whether you are enrolled or are being placed on a waiting list.
