Announcing the 26-27 Year of artlook® SWPA Programming!

As you relax into summer and begin to plan for the year ahead, we invite you to take a moment to review our 2026-2027 artlook® calendar of events and mark your calendars now. Join us to gather, share your work, and engage in community and creativity.  

The Arts Ed Collaborative team is spotlighting the vital work of our growing artlook® SWPA community—keeping arts education vibrant, enthusiastic, and engaged across the region. Whether you’re a current arts partner, school liaison, or potential artlook® contributor, we have exciting opportunities created with you in mind. We will continue to update event info and registration links throughout the year on our Opportunities Page.  

Arts Partner Fair | Carnegie Museum of Art | 10/8 from 4:30-6:00PM 

Calling all arts partners, teachers, principals, and curriculum directors! Our Arts Partner Fair is just a few months away—join us for an exciting afternoon designed to spark new connections and deepen existing partnerships across SWPA. This is an important opportunity for school educators to talk with arts partners, with an emphasis on professional and student learning opportunities! Register today. 

Arts Partner Workshop Series: 10/21, 1/13, 2/24, and 3/17 

Designed for our artlook® SWPA arts partners, these workshops are drop-in professional learning opportunities for those that want to deepen their knowledge and competencies around working in schools. Each workshop will center on a different topic, as listed below, join us for one, some, or all! 

  • Workshop #1 @ Carnegie Museum of Art, 10/21 from 10AM-12PM: Funding Arts Partnerships. Register today. 
  • Workshop #2 @ Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh-Homewood, 1/13 from 3-5PM: Career and Workforce Development. Register today. 
  • Workshop #3 @ Carnegie Museum of Art, 2/24 from 10AM-12PM: Healing Centered Teaching and Learning. Register today. 
  • Workshop #4 @ Sweetwater Center for the Arts, 3/17 from 3-5PM: Arts Standards & Curriculum Writing. Register today. 

Arts Ed Expo | Location TBD | 5/13 from 4-6PM 

Join us in celebrating another year of arts partnerships, while spotlighting success stories from our schools and arts partners! The AEC team will report back on lessons in the data from the year, share new platform features, and highlight how participants are getting more art to more kids. As always, there will be delicious food and lots of fantastic networking opportunities! Save the date for this event. We will post a registration link once a location is confirmed.
