Say It with a Mosaic

In this series of 3 hour-long workshops led by visual artist Diarra Imani, participants will create a mosaic project based on healing and family participation. The workshops will focus on practices of dialogue, family development, artistic expression as well as historical perspective as an element of learning. Throughout the session there will be time for reflections, for inclusive conversation, and a wrap-up. A brief history of mosaics and their North African origin will also be included. Mosaics are amazing pieces of art because they remind us that the broken is still beautiful! Note: This is an activity for ages 6+ with the supervision of a parent/guardian.
