The La Rosa Boys & Girls Club of McKeespoort seeks a full-time STEAM coordinator. The coordinator will run open maker spaces during a portion of the afternoon/evening, and pre‐planned weekly classes teaching science, technology, engineering, and math in the early part of the evening. CMOA is looking to expand its pool of instructors for adult art history classes. Instructors should have experience teaching at the college level. The Pitt School of Education seeks a project coordinator for the Creative Learning Transformative Evaluation project. The Project Coordinator will perform a variety of project management support and data collection duties. This three-year project will work with adults and youth at multiple youth arts and maker-related programs in Pittsburgh. A Master’s degree is required for this position.

Professional Learning Opportunities

The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council (GPAC) will host Tools for Measuring Success in Your Organization in the GPAC Big Room on Thursday, December 5 from 4–5:30pm. This free event featuring Dr. Zannie Giraud Voss of SMU DataArts will explore the strategic factors that influence organizational performance in the arts and will outline how to create and apply multiple measures of success.

Student Opportunities

Prime Stage has announced its schedule for 2019–20 student matinees. Upcoming plays this season include The Outsiders from March 10–12, and Mockingbird from May 12–14. Teachers are encouraged to book their field trips to see any of these productions soon. All events will be hosted at the New Hazlett Theater on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
